What do we study in our General English classes?

Speaking and Pronunciation

An important part of our classes focuses on vocabulary and interaction as well as pronunciation. Our teachers plan interesting, stimulating lessons with the aim of ensuring that our students learn how to speak English more fluently. By using authentic materials and role-play students are encouraged to practise and therefore improve their spoken production.

Grammar study and Grammar Practice

Studying grammar is important and our students will learn important rules and structures which as a result will help them to understand and produce English. Our teachers use authentic materials and create motivating lessons in order to allow students to see how grammar is used. We focus on practising and using the grammar correctly and confidently. Having a solid grammar base helps our students to be able to form sentences and communicate more efficiently in English.

Skills Focus

Reading, writing, and listening are essential skills which students should learn when studying English. Teachers plan lessons to encourage improvement in these skill areas. They use a variety of materials and techniques to simulate a realistic-learning environment. Practising these skills helps students to feel more confident about producing and understanding English when they read or write a piece of text or hear spoken English.

Project Homework

Working on a project outside of class time can be a great way for students to stay focused and use their evolving English skills in a more creative and productive way. The homework projects aim to encourage students to practise and use the skills, grammar and vocabulary that they have been studying in their English classes. By focusing on project work students find that their confidence at the moment of using English increases and they discover their English language potential.
